The ranking encompasses all 181 primary schools, organized based on their vacancies and balloting data during Phase 2B. When a school’s subscription rate exceeds 100%, it signifies that the number of applicants exceeds the available vacancies. A percentage exceeding 100% indicates that the school is oversubscribed. To make a well-informed decision, you can refer to the vacancy, applicant, and balloting data from the 2022 Primary 1 Registration Exercise provided below. This data will enable you to gain valuable insights into the demand for and availability of primary school placements in Singapore.
It’s important to note that our rankings DO NOT factor in the following specialized programs:
- Gifted Education Programme (GEP)
- Special Assistance Plan (SAP)
- Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation
- Singapore National School Games
- Singapore Uniformed Groups Unit Recognition
While the Ministry of Education (MOE) does not endorse ranking schools solely based on academic performance, we acknowledge that schools offering the aforementioned programs might be ranked higher by parents due to the exceptional opportunities these programs provide for their children’s development.
As we’ve emphasized, this ranking table is solely based on popularity, specifically the number of applications received during Phase 2B balloting. For a more comprehensive understanding of the top primary schools in Singapore, we recommend exploring the resources provided below.
